Rainbow Realty Group, LLC (“Rainbow”) was created to bridge the financial gap for cannabis companies in the United States.

Due to the federal illegality, it is extremely difficult for cannabis companies to obtain traditional means of financing. Rainbow is not a cannabis investor per se: it is a real estate financier who works with cannabis tenants and borrowers.

Rainbow underwrites non-cannabis or “traditional” real estate values for retail, industrial and agricultural properties. Rainbow will purchase or mortgage real property, depending on the operator’s needs.

RRG formally launched its first fund in 2019, after 6 years of experience investing in the space. RRG “Fund I” has $54M AUM and, as of Q3 2023, is fully deployed. The fund is only 12% levered, assisting our position of being insensitive to interest-rate fluctuations.

RRG launched its second fund in 2021, continuing off the success of the inaugural fund. RRG “Fund II” has $51M AUM and as of Q4 2023 is 100% deployed. Fund II utilizes a similar strategy as Fund I investing across different real estate asset classes.

Jack Levy

Jack is a dynamic professional.

He began as a Client Solutions Associate at GLG, where he provides tailored solutions and valuable insights to top hedge funds.

After GLG, he joined AscendEX, where he worked as the Head of Sales, cultivating partnerships with C-Level executives, institutions, market makers, and VC firms.

His diverse experience continues as the first Business Development Associate at Rainbow Realty Group, focusing on fundraising and investor relations.

Tyler Gilliam

Tyler is a diligent professional with a strong background in real estate.

He previously worked as an Acquisitions Analyst at Alliance Manufactured Homes, where his analytical skills helped with the company’s success.

Previously, he served as EVP of Business Development at Realogy Title Group.

Tyler holds an MS in Real Estate Development from NYU, which underscores his expertise in the field. His experience and education make him a valuable member of the team.

Ben Bolanos

Ben is the current COO of Rainbow Realty Group, where his strategic leadership is instrumental to the company’s success.

His extensive real estate background includes previous roles as Vice President of Acquisitions at One Liberty Properties, as well as positions at Panther Properties Investment LLC and Compass Realty Associates.

Ben’s expertise and experience make him a valuable asset in the real estate industry.

Kyle Shenfeld

CEO

Kyle is a dynamic professional with an impactful contribution to the Gould family.

As the founder of Rainbow Realty Group, he has helped the company with three successful funds, blending innovation and excellence in real estate. In addition to their entrepreneurial pursuits, they serve as the Associate General Counsel of Gould Investors L.P., his family’s investment office.

Prior to this, he honed hislegal skills as an Associate in the Real Estate Department of Herrick Feinstein LLP.

Kyle also founded H2GoBlue, focused on environmental sustainability and responsible water management.

Isaac Kalish

CFO

Isaac is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience.

He currently holds the position of Vice President and Treasurer of the Managing GP at Gould Investors L.P. since 2012.

He has also been the Vice President and Assistant Treasurer at One Liberty Properties, Inc. since 2007.

Isaac is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of New York and is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs. His prior experience includes roles as an Associate at Ernst & Young and Buchbinder Tunick & Co. Isaac’s financial expertise and commitment to his profession make him a valuable asset in the industry.

Matthew J. Gould

Chairman and CIO

Matthew J. Gould serves as an interested Board Member representing the sub-manager, Rainbow Realty Group. Mr. Gould has spent his entire career in the real estate industry with various organizations. He currently serves as CEO of Georgetown Partners, Inc. and Managing General Partner of Gould Investors, L.P., a diversified primarily real estate owner and operator since 1994.

Since 2012, Mr. Gould has served as Chairman of One Liberty Properties, Inc. (NYSE:OLP), a single tenant net lease REIT, holding earlier positions as Vice Chairman and President dating back to 1989. He is a Board Member and Senior Vice President of BRT Apartments Corporation (NYSE: BRT), a multifamily REIT, performing various roles dating back to 1984.

Since 2019 he has held multiple positions at Rainbow Realty Group Funds, including CEO and currently Chairman and CIO.  Rainbow Realty Group manages two private funds that own and provide mortgages to borrowers in the cannabis space. He is a Board Member of Halsa Holdings, LLC, a CA cannabis operator, since 2021 and Vice President of Majestic Property Management Corp., a privately held real estate management fund, since 1984.

Mr. Gould earned a B.A in English Literature from University of Michigan in 1981 and a J.D. from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in 1984.
